About the Club

Kestrels Archery Club of Biggleswade & Sandy, Bedfordshire celebrated it's 25th anniversary in 2005. We had various special events from fun days to introducing the St. George & New National rounds at our annual open Albion and Double National record status competitions. We also launched a new Portsmouth tournament in October, which is be a fun, non-record status event.

Occasionally we get a visit from the flying variety of kestrel to our outdoor shooting location.

Our members span all age groups, from youngsters of school age to those who would prefer not to reveal their date of birth! All skill levels are catered for, from beginners to master bowmen, and help is always on hand for those times when all is not going well.

We maintain a busy calendar including hosting four open competitions, and running two beginners courses each year, also if you host an event, we can run a have a go at archery stall.

There are weekly indoor club nights in winter, and twice weekly outdoors in summer, along with several club competitions, many of which are handicapped to give archers of all ages and experience an equal chance. You can also view our current Club Records.

Kestrels are affiliated to GNAS the governing body of archery in the UK, GNAS No. EA529 & EA1450 (juniors).
